When it comes to the house, I'm motivated by a mixture of snobbery and sloth. I'm really picky about decor, but too lazy (and poor) to do much about it, so our place looks like we just moved in. The same goes for cleaning. I hate cleaning my house, but I like a clean house.
To amuse myself as I'm cleaning, I am taking pictures of the house.
Train and tracks are everywhere.
This is Jonah's graffitti of a Roman centurian. It's very hard to scrub tub crayons off the bathroom tile, so it might just stay there for a while.
Making beds is strictly optional.
Still have to put away the dishes from Saturday's dinner party. Books in the attic need to be shelved.
Hey, my office has so many cardboard boxes in it that I'm often asked whether I'm either moving in or moving out. Actually, I've been in the office, uh, 18 years. But I think I need some train tracks! Happy Thanksgiving, Laura (and family)

hah, looks like our house.. we have one room that is decorated and furnished just as we'd like; the rest is chaos and old night, ankle-deep drifts of Lego and Bionicle pieces.
I'm neurotic about dirty dishes, so the kitchen is usually clean from about 11pm until 6am, when the whole thing starts all over agin.
