Roger the Shrubber

Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say 'ni' at will to old ladies. There is a pestilence upon this land. Nothing is sacred. Even those who arrange and design shrubberies are under considerable economic stress at this period in history.

jeez, that looks like a perfectly nice uncontroversial foundation planting. what's not to like? you will get fifteen years out of that fence instead of eight if you paint water repellent oil onto it.

Nice! I like the roses. But I think I see hostas, and hostas weird me out. I also like that tree with the reddish leaves.

I did some bird-blogging today. Great excitement over our first hummingbird sighting! And she's beautiful!
