There is no magic speech that would convince people to transfer their passion and fervor for one candidate onto another. There just isn't, and that doesn't make the loved candidate's speech "sour grapes".

Hillary's done her part as best as she possibly can. If there's not enough party unity, it's time for Obama and his supporters to take some damn resposibility for that.

Well, there's transferring your own passion and fervor to another candidate. That's what would have been expected if she had been chosen as a vp candidate.

As I said in the other thread, I think what she needed to do (for herself) was to convince democrats who might support her at some other point in her career, but support Obama now that she, personally, does not bear any blame for what happens going forward (a standard Nader ran from, and for which the Green party has suffered among progressives). Reading the transcript didn't do it for me, but I'll look forward to seeing how others react.

I didn't think the speech smacked of sour grapes, as much as the media pundits tried to swing things that way. But I'm someone who believes there's nothing she can do to convince the pundits of her sincerity.

Sour grapes all the way

Would have been better to see her go after McCain after losing, taking all of her anger and Bill's frustration then to have those two pussyfoot around regarding her vote and her delegates. She is setting herself up for another time at bat.

Oh and where is the New York budget right now? Sorry but I'd rather see her handle issues of the empire state and at least pretend to give a rats ass about the people and issues here.

Take a note from Al Gore who's win was stolen from him: take a nice vacation, relax, recharge, and slowly come back and kick some ass. People will like her if they see she does not have to try hard. Be the girl at the dance everyone wants to dance with not the one willing to do a Jaeger shot to get attention.

And, wow, that pantsuit is really really orange. And even an orange shirt. Don't really get it.

PS: And I wore orange at my wedding (or at least, that's what my sister said. I thought it was gold).
