Katie did a great. This post reminds me of the SNL McGlughlin(sp?) group and I cannot forget the Sam Donaldson impression.

I'd love to see Dan Rather interview Palin or if we could go back in time Edward R Murrow. Imagine if a Mad Men era reporters had the chance to really ask some questions of these candidates.

And pressing is the key. It was often on the third follow-up that Palin showed her true, ignorant colors. Unfortunately, that is why she will do "well" tonight. It's only when her nonsense answers get pushed once or twice that her true ignorance shines through. She will have one-liners and "charming" answers tonight and will do "well" because the "debate" format does not allow for second and third follow-ups to evasive and ridiculous answers.

Oh, you guys have no idea. Watch Jeremy Paxman (the BBC's attack dog interviewer) on youtube, and dream. Mark you, if American reporters were tough, someone like Palin wouldn't be on the ticket.

OK, agreed: if the U.S. weren't in the U.S., it would be a foreign country!

Yes. That would be just awful...
