The New York Times Style Section talks about the hipness of writing books about your kids. A few years ago, they said that writing blogs about your kids was narcissistic. I especially loved that they interviewed the same person. Can we have some consistency, please?
Really great article by Arlie Hochschild on the state of families. She talks about the movement towards slow parenting. Don't comment on this piece. I'm coming back to it.

I'm pretty sure that hipness and narcissism are not mutually exclusive categories and may even heavily over-lap, so there's no need to see inconsistency on the part of the times there.
