Spreadin’ Love

I like this cajun pasta recipe at Pioneer Woman, because I could it half the recipe for the grown-ups who like peppers and spices and foods that touch each other. And then I could separate the ingredients for the ungrateful children who like their pasta on one side of their plate and their chicken on the other side of the plate.

The Oscar nominations are out. Blogger responses here and more to come.

  1. Ungrateful children, or Trent Lott, who likes his food in discrete piles which don’t touch each other.

  2. I’d sort of hoped this would be the year when I didn’t see a single movie that got nominated for an oscar, but I’ve seen three- Up, Coraline, and the Harry Potter movie. That makes it seem like I mostly watch kids movies, and that might have been so of going to the theater this year, but mostly I just didn’t go out to movies much. I found the first two enjoyable and that the last was okay though it didn’t make much sense to people like me that didn’t read the books. Like most years, though, I expect most of the movies to be properly forgotten soon afterwords.
