Eons ago, I used to walk to the subway after a long evening out with friends and link arms with Steve. Not because I wanted to be romantic or anything. I wanted him to help me navigate the sidewalk, so I could look into people's apartments. Nighttime is the prime time for checking out strangers' homes. They're all lit up and the shades are still open. You can get glimpses of their decor and the people milling about.
This is the view of our house at dusk. If you squint, you can see a couple of baskets of unfolded clothes, several Pokemon books and Steve yelling at the kids to go to bed.
It's all in good fun until you see Raymond Burr kill his wife.

LOL, I thought I was the only one who did this. I felt guilty and stalkery, and now I don't. :)

I too feel less stalkery! I love seeing how different people decorate and live, especially since we live in a Victorian era neighbourhood. Houses are closer together and more quirky - I like to see how they adapt 120 year old homes to today.
And MH, good thing I wasn't drinking coffee when I read your Raymond Burr comment!
