Janice

The whole situation with these online courses in the "master teacher" model gives me the heebee-jeebies, especially when it's clearly a cash-cow for the U and its corporate partners.

I know that the failure and drop-out rate for many of these courses is quite high, despite having some highly motivated course instructors. The way their hands are tied in that they can only follow the scripts and have to meet so many specified goals that have nothing to do with the immediate needs of their students? Maddening!
